Charity boxing: World Boxing Council Continental America's 154-pound champion Jimmy Lange will host a benefit event for the family of recently deceased former world champion boxer Diego Corrales on July 26 at the DoubleTree Hotel Crystal City.
The event will feature professional boxing, live musical entertainment and a three-course meal. Fewer than 500 tickets are available. Tickets for table seats (includes dinner) cost $350, $250 or $175, while a limited number of $75 tickets (admission only) are also available. Call 703-536-6060 to purchase tickets.
Coaches sought: Dominion High School has the following coaching opportunities for the upcoming school year: football (fall season), JV and freshmen cheerleading (fall), cross country (fall), assistant gymnastics (winter), softball (spring) and track (spring). Volunteers/host families sought: Greater Loudoun Babe Ruth World Series Inc. continues to seek volunteers and host families for the 2007 13-year-old Babe Ruth World Series at Fireman's Field in Purcellville Aug. 17-24.

Golf tournament: The Broad Run Spartans girls' basketball team seeks golfers and sponsors for a tournament Aug. 19 at 2 p.m. The tournament will take place at South Riding Golf Course.
Proceeds from the tournament will be used to support the team's travel to play basketball in a tournament outside Northern Virginia. Entry fee is $135 per person. The fee includes a round of golf, golf cart, water throughout the course, raffle ticket and dinner. Sponsorships are available at various levels. Call 703-724-9896 or 703-729-3516.
Football officials needed: The Northern Virginia Football Officials Association is seeking new members for its 2007 training class who can become on-field game officials and electronic clock operators for games at the youth, middle school and high school levels.
NVFOA, the sole supplier of football officials to all high schools in the counties of Arlington, Fairfax, Prince William, Loudoun and Fauquier, seeks men and women ages 18 and older.
