Lorton home invaded

Police are looking for a man suspected of breaking into a Lorton home, locking the female homeowner in a bathroom and then searching the home for money.

A masked man woke the 44-year-old victim in her bedroom at around 9:30 a.m. on July 14. Although nothing appears to have been stolen, police said the suspect asked the homeowner for money, tied her up, and then locked her in a bathroom and continued his search, leaving minutes later.

The home is in the 8000 block of Horseshoe Cottage Circle.

The suspect has a dark complexion, is 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighs 180 pounds, and wore a black mask, black T-shirt and blue jeans.
