Preferred Offices opens Reston facility

Walking into Preferred Offices' new Reston location can produce sensory overload.

Elegantly colored walls, a collection of textures, glass and original artworks all blend with the smell of freshly brewed Starbucks coffee coming from the office's shared meeting room.

Preferred Offices, a Washington-based company owned by realty magnate Oliver Carr, leases temporary and “virtual” office space and services, and has opened its ninth D.C.-area location at 1818 Library Street in Reston Town Center. It will hold a Hollywood-themed grand opening ceremony on Thursday, June 5, to celebrate the new center.

The 23,000-square-foot fifth-floor facility offers much more than generic office space. All the private, soundproof offices are furnished with ergonomic chairs and modular wood furniture and provide high speed Internet access and wireless connectivity on a secure platform.

Meeting rooms for two to 25 people can accommodate audio and Web conferencing and the self-service business center has all the administrative and technical office support any business could need, including postal services.

The reception area is purposely non-branded to accommodate any and all business clientele.

The office space is set up so that someone can walk in and go to work,” said President and Chief Operating Officer Angie O'Grady. “Our Reston location, as with all our locations, has a point person who makes everything happen for our clients. They take care of all the support services with friendliness and professionalism.”

Preferred Offices provides a full range of tiered cost-effective office support services with rates beginning at $95 per month for a “virtual office,” which includes a business address, telephone number, live telephone answering, call forwarding and can include a specified number of hours each month for private office and meeting room use.
