Orozco places second in Reading Rainbow contest

Nina Orozco, a first-grade student at Vienna Elementary, was a finalist in the WETA Reading Rainbow Young Writers and Illustrators contest, a writing competition sponsored by WETA-TV. Her illustrated story, “The Spider and the Hedgehog,” won second place in the first-grade category. She received a gift card to Barnes and Noble and a Reading Rainbow backpack with an episode of the show inside.
